Volunteering

We host a variety of volunteer opportunities before, during, and after the season. Whether you’re looking to break a sweat or simply get closer to the source of your food, we would love to have you out on the farm!

How to Sign Up

To help us prepare for your visit, please let us know you are coming:

What to Expect

Work requirements change with the season. Activities can be physical, repetitive, or—fair warning—a bit dirty! Typical tasks include:

  • Weeding and thinning
  • Mulching and planting
  • Harvesting seasonal produce

Upon Arrival: Please sign in. We will provide a brief orientation and instructions for your assignment. Depending on the group size, we may work together or divide into smaller teams to tackle tasks efficiently.

Bringing the Family

We love having children at the farm! It is a fantastic way for them to learn where their food comes from. To ensure everyone has a great experience, please keep the following in mind:

  • Preparation: Check the weather before coming. We recommend bringing snacks, sunscreen, water, and sun hats, as young children can quickly become tired or overheated.
  • Child-Friendly Tasks: We strive to provide tasks suitable for "happy feet" to protect our delicate plants. If field work becomes too much, children are welcome to feed the chickens or explore the farm.
  • Safety First: For the safety of our guests and the farm, adults must monitor children at all times.
    • No climbing on farm equipment.
    • Children may not be left unaccompanied in the barn, greenhouse, or share room.
