Our Origins and Philosophy
Living Hope Farm (LHF) was founded in 2010 as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. The founding members of LHF actively pursued a means to save a 40-acre plot of land from be subdivided into a housing development. Their faithful commitment to create an agricultural source which would support a healthier community led them to establish LHF as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It is from their initial vision and commitment that LHF has, in turn, found healthy support from the community and the CSA farm has flourished.
LHF produces premium vegetables and products which are recognized as being Certified Naturally Grown. The growing seasons are split into summer shares (22 weeks) and winter shares (10 weeks). The farm has grown its CSA membership to serve over 260 families. The share members are given the opportunity to make their own selections through an on-line ordering process. Members appreciate the personal choices that are offered at LHF.
Giving back to support the community is a faithful commitment of LHF. To this end, LHF donates a portion of its fresh produce to local families in need through the “Farm to Family” program. LHF hosts educational tours, classes and volunteer events. LHF also partners with other local organizations to involve disabled adults and older children to complete various tasks on the farm as a part of their therapy and engagement programs.
